It was in 1967, in a small repair shop, that Rwandamotor’s history began. Later on they to on other activities. First they started with the distribution of vehicles and motorcycles. Afterwards they began working in the energy and fire prevention sector. For the occasion, the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of our branch started in the renovated work shop. The anniversary was also the perfect occasion to celebrate the 40-year partnership between Suzuki and our Kigali branch. Two representatives from Suzuki Japan and two others from Suzuki India were present for the celebrations.
The Rwandan minister of trade and industry, Mister Kanimba, honoured us with his presence. He held a captivating speech to show his respect for our firm. He said that others should take our corporation as an example, taking the many evolutions and changes into account in our journey to become a recognised and respected firm. A few days before the start of the celebrations, Rwandamotor acquired grounds of almost 2 hectares in the industrial zone of Gahanga (Kicukiro) in Kigali. These grounds will be home to the new installations that our firm will build, respecting the new urban norms made by the city.
