On September 15th 2009, hotel ELAIS inaugurated the results of the first phase of the renovation plan: excellent drainage, waterproof units, the construction of a new power plant (with two new gensets) and a well for self-support of running water. Approximately 100 rooms surrounding the swimming pool have been renovated and refurbished from scratch: brand-new electricity, plumbing and tiling. They now definitely meet the high standards of a four-star hotel. This first considerable phase costed about 5,5 million Euro. The second phase will deal with the public areas (such as the hotel lobby, meeting rooms, boutiques,…) and is planned for the second semester of 2010.
