At the instigation of Mr Jean-Philippe Froidbise and with the authorization of the Ministry of Environment of Burundi, our subsidiary PROCOBU has undertaken to build an arboretum in Bujumbura since 2002.
On 19 December 2013, a Bujumbura arboretum co-management agreement was signed between PROCOBU and the (Burundian) National Institute for Environment and Conservation of Nature. The arboretum in Bujumbura, which extends over 25 ha, is part of the Rusizi National Park. It is bounded to the South by Lake Tanganyika. The agreement has been concluded for a period of 30 years.
